Terms & Conditions

Booking & Contract
A booking is confirmed upon receipt of a deposit and issuance of a written confirmation invoice. By confirming a booking, the client enters into a binding agreement with African Genuine Travels and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

Payments

A non-refundable deposit of 30%–50% is required to secure all bookings
-
The balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to arrival
-
Bookings made within 30 days of travel require full payment at confirmation
Failure to make payment on time may result in automatic cancellation, with applicable cancellation charges.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
Cancellation fees are as follows:

More than 30 days before arrival: Deposit retained
-
15–29 days before arrival: 50% of total cost charged
-
0–14 days before arrival: 100% of total cost charged
Certain services (e.g., lodges, flights) may have stricter policies and may be non-refundable.

Amendments
Any changes requested after confirmation are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. We reserve the right to adjust pricing accordingly.

Travel Insurance (Mandatory)
All clients are strongly required to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering:

Trip cancellation and interruption

Medical expenses and evacuation
-
Loss of baggage and personal belongings
Proof of insurance may be requested prior to travel.

Health & Fitness
Clients are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to travel. It is the client’s responsibility to:

Obtain required vaccinations

Carry personal medications
-
Follow all safety instructions provided by guides
​
Responsibility & Liability
[Your Company Name] acts as a tour operator and agent for third-party suppliers such as lodges, airlines, and transport providers.
We shall not be held liable for:

Injury, illness, loss, or damage to personal property
-
Delays, cancellations, or schedule changes beyond our control

Acts of negligence by third-party service providers
Participation in safari activities involves inherent risks, which clients accept at their own risk.

Itinerary Flexibility
While every effort is made to operate itineraries as planned, we reserve the right to make changes due to:

Weather conditions
-
Wildlife movements
-
Road or park conditions
-
Operational or safety reasons
All changes will be made in the best interest of the client.

Pricing & Surcharges
Prices are based on current rates and are subject to change due to:

Government taxes and park fees
-
Currency fluctuations
-
Supplier cost increases
Confirmed bookings will not be affected unless such changes are beyond our control.
​
Passports, Visas & Travel Documents
Clients are solely responsible for ensuring:

Valid passports (minimum 6 months validity)

Required visas for entry into Tanzania
-
Compliance with all immigration requirements
​
Client Conduct
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate the participation of any client whose behavior:

Is disruptive or unsafe
-
Damages property
-
Affects the experience of others
No refunds will be issued in such cases.

Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

Natural disasters
-
Pandemics
-
Government actions or restrictions
-
Civil unrest or strikes

Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be resolved within Tanzanian jurisdiction.

Acceptance
By confirming a booking with African Genuine Travels, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
